Ram Jhula

Ram Jhula was constructed in 1986 and is an iron suspension bridge above the river of Ganges (Holy River of Hindus) and sited at Muni Ki Reti in RishikeshUttarakhand. The crossing is comparable in design and using same machinery but larger than the more popular Lakshman Jhula. Tourists can get amazing view of Ganges from the Ram Jhula and snap amazing pictures of boats moving on it.

The attractive scenes, many sanctuaries and ashrams on the shores of the river, visitors rafting over the river Ganga, the disciples crossing the river Ganga on boats etc. mark Ram Jhula Rishikesh a best scenic spot. Thousands of visitors visit Ram Jhula every day, due to its early importance, religious holiness, many temples and ashrams and other tourist places close to Ram Jhula along with well-liked restaurants of Chotiwala.

Generally the Ram Jhula is a nice experience for any kind of wanderer. Ram Jhula about 32 kms from Haridwar City middle and about 15 kms from Rishikesh City Centre.
